Ground of Aces: North American Mustang MK I

For our game Ground of Aces I've created this lowpoly model of an North American Mustang MK I. It has quite some movable parts that will be animated in-game, like the undercarriage, the flaps, ailerons and rudders. It's a special Mustang as it's one of the first ones created - these airplanes were produced in the US, but not used by the US Air Force. Not until they also entered the war. It's also why this one is not designated P-51 (which also made research a bit more complicated).

Haven't had much knowledge about these planes before, and was very interesting to delve into all the knowledge and discussions of sites like Britmodellers and similar, where they discuss all the details. It's crazy how much work it is to try to get together facts about the visuals, since obviously photos from the airplanes during wartime are all black-white - and you can't always trust the ones that were restored.
For this one, some diagrams created by a Japanese modeling enthusiast helped a lot.
